Improving Al-Quran reading quality

Participants of the National Al-Quran Reading Competition for Youth for 1443 Hijrah participated in workshops as part of Al-Quran Knowledge Skills (KIA) programme to improve their reciting skills, at the Youth Centre yesterday.

The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), through its Youth and Sports Department made the initiative to produce skilled youth in the field of Al-Quran Tarannum.

The KIA programme is open to participants who have made the semi-finals of the National Al-Quran Reading Compeititon for Youth for 1443 Hijrah.

Participants went through intensive sessions, led by experienced Al-Quran educators in the field of Tajwid, Fasahah, voice and song.

The programme aimed to ensure Al-Quran readers are able to compete at the highest level, thus improving the competition’s quality.

Thirty participants will compete in the semi-finals on May 29, with five qari and qariah including reigning qari and qariah champions to compete in the final.
