Imams urge public support of national development initiatives in Friday sermon

As the Sultanate celebrates the 78th birthday of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on Monday, July 15, Imams delivered a Friday sermon urging Bruneians to pray for the Sultan’s continued health, longevity, and divine protection.

They emphasised the Sultan’s devout leadership, describing the monarch as a just and wise ruler deeply committed to the teachings of Islam. Under His Majesty’s guidance, Brunei is seen as fortunate and blessed, with a focus on national development and the well-being of its people in accordance with Islamic principles.

The sermon underscored the importance of unwavering obedience and loyalty to the Sultan among citizens and residents, encouraging support for national development initiatives and compliance with the country’s laws and policies.
