Imams highlight role of police in preserving peace

Azlan Othman

Crime comes in many forms, with cybercrime on the rise in modern society. However, the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) remains ready to tackle all varieties of crime to maintain peace.

This was said by imams in the Friday sermon yesterday.

Imams said, “Peace and prosperity are blessings from Allah the Almighty. With it, religion may be preserved, progress will be generated and people will feel secure.

“The pillars of peace must be preserved and practised by holding fast to Islamic teachings, complying with national laws and living in harmony and unity.”

Imams added, “We must cooperate and work together in helping the police to fight crime by providing information to the police concerning criminal activities.”

The RBPF marked its 102nd anniversary on January 1.
