Imams advocate road safety in Friday sermon

713

During the Friday sermon today, Imams emphasised the teachings of our faith that promote steering clear of anything that could lead to harm, including road accidents.

They urged the Ummah to incorporate supplications and regular Zikir (remembrance of Allah the Almighty) into their routines before embarking on journeys, making road safety an integral part of daily habits.

Additionally, Imams advised motorists to adhere to specified regulations, emphasising mutual respect and tolerance on the roads.

Recognising the authorities’ efforts to address this issue, they highlighted measures such as speed limit monitoring, mandatory safety belt usage, the requirement of helmets for motorcycle pillion riders, and the prohibition of mobile phone use while driving. – Azlan Othman
