Illegal dumping problem in residential areas

With roadside stalls mushrooming in national housing areas, there is a growing need for signboards to warn the public off dumping indiscriminately.

I recently saw a group of foreign workers clearing a drain near a row of food stalls in a residential area. I was shocked by the amount of rubbish they dug up. These trash-filled drains serve as the perfect spots for hungry wild animals, such as monitor lizards, to scavenge.

With all these wild creatures flocking to residential areas, it is no wonder that some people believe that monitor lizards were behind the disappearance of their pets.
