Two Malaysians pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday to charges of practicing medicine or surgery and providing facial treatments without a licence.
Liza Toong, 27, admitted to having provided a dimple creation service, without being registered as a medical practitioner, at a hotel in the capital on the afternoon of March 18.
Victoria Lorina anak Saini, 34, admitted to providing facial treatments, without holding a beauty and health establishment licence, on two counts.
The charges levelled by Prosecutor Siti Khalillah binti Hussin against Liza carry five years’ jail and a fine while each of the charges faced by Victoria Lorina carry penalties of a BND10,000 fine and beyond for continuing offences. Senior Magistrate Azrimah biti Abdul Rahman is considering fitting punishments on July 13.
