Ra’es of Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar discussed the importance of eating healthy food, especially those stated in Al-Quran such as milk, honey and dates while fasting as well as practising the sunnah and good manners during Ramadhan.
Dr Haji Adanan also reminded ummah to maintain good manners whether in the mosque or at tahlil, as well as to enjoy the beauty of Ramadhan by increasing patience and self-reflection.
He made these comments in a Tausiah at KUPU SB’s Ihya Ramadhan programme, which commenced with a Ramadhan Tedarus opening ceremony at the KUPU SB surau on Saturday.
The Tedarus Al-Quran ceremony commenced with the mass recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by the recitation of Surah Baqarah Verses 1 to 23 led by Higher Diploma in Religious Education Year 3 student Mohd Haikal bin Minen, while the sharing of the hadith was delivered by Nur Afiqah binti Ali from the Syariah Faculty.
A Doa KUPU SB was recited by Bachelor in Religious Teaching Year 2 student Muhammad Hadi Shahril bin Haji Mesli.
A solat Sunnat Tarawih and Witir will also be held as part of the Ihya Ramadhan programme at the KUPU SB surau as well as a barakah Ramadhan 1444 Hijrah/2023 nationwide.
Ihya Ramadhan, among other things, aims to instil piety among the people of KUPU SB and to learn to be virtuous by modelling after the practices of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
The event’s objective is to fuel religious activities throughout the month of Ramadhan and strengthen bonds of friendship among the people of KUPU SB, while encouraging appreciation and love for the month of Ramadhan.
Also present were principal officers, lecturers and staff, as well as students of KUPU SB.
The event is organised by the Student Affairs Division through its KUPU SB Spiritual Unit.
