An iftar for the hostel students of Bandar Seri Begawan (BSB) Arabic Preparatory School was held on Tuesday.
This event was held to enliven the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) during the month of Ramadhan in addition to strengthen ties among teachers and hostel students.
It is held every year to mark the month of Ramadhan with the hostel students. Throughout the month of Ramadhan, the school also hold Tedarus Al-Quran and Sunnat Tarawih prayers.
Acting Head of the Arabic School Division, Islamic Studies Department at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Mohd Zamery bin Haji Nayan was present.
Some 109 students participated in the ceremony comprising 24 from the BSB Arabic Preparatory School Dormitory in Sanah 5 and 6 while another 85 were from the Hassanal Bolkiah Boys Arabic Secondary School Dormitory.
The event also aims to strengthen the spirit of cooperation among Asatizah and train the students to perform Sunnat Tarawih and Sunnat Witir prayers.
The ceremony began with recitation of Tahlil and Doa Arwah followed by Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam, breaking of the fast and the congregational Maghrib prayer.
