The Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) will participate in the virtual Higher Education Expo 2022 from February 5-11, with the public required to log in online to visit its virtual booth.
IBTE is the largest training provider of technical and vocational education in Brunei Darussalam, with its curriculum focussed on the development of practical competencies and offering entrepreneurship knowhow.
IBTE is offering programmes under different level of qualifications – Industrial Skills Qualifications (ISQ), National Technical Education Certificate (NTec), Higher National Technical Education Certificate (HNTec), Diploma Level 5 in both institutional-based mode or through the apprenticeship mode.
Students have a wide choice across different field of studies to opt for, which include the areas of energy and engineering, aviation, healthcare, information and communication technologies, agrotechnology, hospitality and tourism, building technology and business finance services. Students can apply to IBTE through its Technical Vocational Education Centralised Admission System (TVeCAS) during the application period for its July 2022 intake.

IBTE Continuing Education and Training (CET) provides lifelong learning courses for both public and other stakeholders, in various skill areas such as Communication and Information Technology, Fashion Design and Textile, Hospitality and Tourism, Industrial or Construction or Electronic Manufacturing, and Professional Development.
IBTE CET also offers short courses specialising in skills and workforce training with Industry or International certificates such as OPITO, a standard of workforce safety and competence for oil and gas industry and international Minimum Industry Safety Training (IMIST-5312) programmes.
