The 30th Convocation Festival for the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) kicked off yesterday morning at both School of Aviation at the IBTE Sultan Saiful Rijal Campus and IBTE Sultan Bolkiah Campus, Seria.
The launching at the School of Aviation was officiated by Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications Ir Haji Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof, which was live streamed at the IBTE Sultan Bolkiah Campus, Seria.
IBTE Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Director of Technical Education Dr Haji Mohd Zamri bin Haji Sabli was also present at the event.
Deputy CEO (Academic) of IBTE Norjemee bin Jenek in his opening remarks said, “A total of 1,784 graduates will receive their Diploma, HNTec and NTec certificates at this year’s convocation.”
He added, “As stated in the Vision of IBTE, we are currently working hard to become a dynamic technical education institution that covers lifelong learning by providing exposure to future graduates on initiatives within the country and give future graduates’ career guidance through workshops and briefings delivered by stakeholders in the industry.”
He also listed several activities lined up at the festival, which include innovative projects by future graduates as well as current IBTE students.
Bazaars and exhibitions as well as a blood donation campaign are also featured at the festival.
