Alex Miller anak Epol, 23, converted to Islam during a ceremony in Kampong Lepong Lama, Temburong District on Friday.
The Syahadah was recited in the presence of Temburong District Dakwah Unit officials.
Alex Miller has taken the Muslim name Daniel Rizqin bin ‘Abdur Rahim.
Acting Director of the Islamic Da’wah Centre Abdul Aziz bin Haji Abdul Kahar was present.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the recitation of Syahadah. It continued with the presentation of a souvenir by the guest of honour, Dikir Marhaban and concluded with the recitation of Doa Selamat by a Temburong District Dakwah Unit officer. Since the start of the year, 127 individuals have embraced the Islamic faith.
Meanwhile, 356 individuals converted to Islam in 2021, and 436 in 2020.
