The first Raya celebration organised by the Kampong Sungai Teraban Mosque’s takmir committee and village consultative council yesterday saw a host of competitions.
Among the activities were the Suara Takbir video competition, ketupat-making competition and a tazkirah by the mosque’s imam Mohd Nur Islam bin Suria.
Mohd Nur Islam said the event was the first of its kind and hoped it will become an annual celebration.
Mukim Belait penghulu Haji Abdul Afiq bin Zainuddin, the guest of honour, presented prizes to competition winners followed by the recitation of Doa Selamat. – Daniel Lim
