Workers, especially those in the civil service must be honest and have good work ethics, said Imams during the Friday sermon. “Being honest is a big responsibility, and not an easy task to be taken lightly,” said the Imams, adding those who have been entrusted with duties should not betray them.
Imams also called on Muslims to not procrastinate in carrying out their duty, and to fulfil working hours efficiently and productively. Muslims should emulate the commendable and noble characteristics of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) of trustworthiness, sincerity and wisdom.
“These decent and noble values must be embraced in our daily lives, especially for those who are in the administration of either a public or private organisation.”
