Allah the Almighty will erase the wrongdoings of those who are tired and exhausted from working to meet the needs of himself, family and those under his responsibility, imams said in the Friday sermon yesterday.
Imams said measures recommended to employers in ensuring that employees health and safety are protected include preparing a comprehensive emergency action plan as well as recovery measures to deal with emergencies that may occur such as flash floods, landslides and forest fires.
Imams also said one must also ensure that the environment is always clean, tidy and orderly to prevent injuries caused by slipping, tripping and falling.
Employees working outdoors or in warm places should be provided with drinking water, shade and a place to rest, they said.
Imams also called to conduct regular health and safety inspections as well as reduce and re-schedule heavy work during warm weather. – Azlan Othman
