After a long break from riding activities abroad, local Harley Owners Group Brunei Chapter (HOGB) joined in a convoy ride to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah recently.

The convoy of Harley riders, led by its director Abdul Malek bin Hamdani, made their way after passing the Temburong Labu Control Post and headed to the Malaysian soil with Haji Sharul bin Haji Abdul Hamid leading the way as road captain.

An annual event organised by the group marked the first convoy ride outside the Sultanate after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

Their ride adhered to the guidelines and standard operating procedures set by the Brunei government to ensure the riders’ health and safety.

From Labu, they passed through Lawas, Sarawak into Sipitang, Bongawan in neigbouring Sabah and headed straight to Kota Kinabalu via the new Trans-Borneo Highway.

While in the city, the riders dropped by the Harley Davidson dealer and were joined by fellow Harley Davidson riders in Sabah. The activity served to strengthen ties and exchange ideas and views among riders from the two countries, as well as an opportunity to hold a meeting to organise the next event for the International HOG Rally Tour in Sabah.
