His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on Saturday received in separate audiences Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of the Republic of Ghana Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey; and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda Dr Vincent Biruta, at Istana Nurul Iman.
Discussions between His Majesty with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of the Republic of Ghana; as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda during the separate audience ceremonies, among others, focused on further deepening bilateral relations and cooperation in areas of mutual benefit between Brunei Darussalam and the two countries.
His Majesty also exchanged views with the ministers on current developments in the Commonwealth as well as explored ways to advance cooperation through this platform, both bilaterally and regionally.
Accompanying the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of the Republic of Ghana were her Special Advisor Ambassador Kwabena Osei-Danquah; and Non-Resident High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana to Brunei Darussalam Florence Buerki Akonor.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda was accompanied by Principal Officer in the Office of the Minister Juan Haguma; and Chargé d’Affaires at the High Commission of the Republic of Rwanda in Singapore Ornella Kayitesi.
Also present during the audience ceremonies was Minister of Foreign Affairs II Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof.
