His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, on Monday presented Letters of Credence to Brunei Darussalam’s newly appointed envoys and received Letters of Credence from newly-appointed Foreign Envoys to Brunei Darussalam.
His Majesty first presented Letters of Credence to Permanent Representative of Brunei Darussalam to the United Nations in New York, United States Pengiran Hairani binti Pengiran Tajuddin; and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to Amman, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Hajah Nor Huda binti Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Ahmad.
His Majesty then received Letters of Credence from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Brunei Darussalam Sun Nahmkook; High Commissioner of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Brunei Darussalam Naureen Ahsan; High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam Datuk Mohd Aini Atan; High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Brunei Darusalam Janbaz Khan; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Brunei Darussalam Kikuta Yutaka; High Commissioner of Australia to Brunei Darussalam Michael Neil Hoy; and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cambodia to Brunei Darussalam Chey Ratha.
After the ceremonies, His Majesty received in audience Brunei Darussalam’s newly appointed envoys, as well as newly-appointed Foreign Envoys to Brunei Darussalam.
Present at the ceremonies were Minister of Foreign Affairs II Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof; Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohammed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Yunos; Private and Confidential Secretary to His Majesty Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hamiddon bin Haji Ibrahim; Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Awang Haji Muhammad Fakhri bin Haji Mohd Taib; and Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office as Acting Grand Chamberlain Pengiran Haji Raffizanna bin Pengiran Haji Razali.
The Ceremonies took place at Istana Nurul Iman.
