This year’s Aidiladha sermon highlighted the test endured by Prophet Ibrahim, his loyalty to Allah’s command, and his perseverance in facing challenges.

The sermon also addressed the plight of Palestinians killed by inhumane acts and bombings, urging Muslims to ease their burden by giving financial assistance through the Palestine humanitarian fund.

It emphasised our sympathy for our Muslim brothers and sisters there, joining Muslims and other peace-loving nations around the world in condemning the killings, whilst also praying to Allah for an immediate end to such brutality and catastrophe.

The sermon stressed the importance of the people and future generations in this country to not take for granted the peace and stability enjoyed all these years and warned against complacency.

Simultaneously, the sermon further called for everyone to be grateful for these blessings, making use of them without committing any wrongdoing and being cautious of elements that could bring catastrophe as we are responsible for upholding peace for present and future generations.

Following the mass prayers, His Majesty and other members of the royal family attended the ritual Korban ceremony in the mosque compound.
