His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam will hold a state visit to Malaysia on August 3.
The state visit is on the invitation from His Majesty the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah.
His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam is expected to meet His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia and Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim for the 24th Annual Leaders’ Consultation between Brunei and Malaysia.
The Sultanate and Malaysia established diplomatic relations in January 1984 enjoying warm and close cooperation in various areas of mutual interest including trade and investment, defence, education, tourism and connectivity as well as health. The previous Annual Leaders’ Consultation between Brunei and Malaysia was held on April 5, 2021 in Bandar Seri Begawan.
