His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam joined a Junjung Ziarah with intending haj pilgrims at Istana Nurul Iman yesterday.
His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office was also present.
The pilgrims performed Zohor and Sunnat Hajat prayers before greeting His Majesty and His Royal Highness.
Male pilgrims were given a bag containing white ihram to be worn during the pilgrimage while female pilgrims received telekong.
Some 1,033 pilgrims comprising 493 males and 540 females including administrative, medical and haj service operators attended the Junjung Ziarah.
The seven authorised agencies to offer haj packages delivered briefings and conducted courses for the pilgrims to prepare them for rituals including Sa’ie, Tawaf and throwing stones at Jamarat.
Four flights will bring the pilgrims and officers to Madinah Al-Munawwarah from May 23 to 26.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) informed the public that the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Haj and Umrah only allows haj visa holders to join the pilgrimage.
