His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam left Darwin on Wednesday after concluding a state visit to Australia.
Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen.
Prior to departure, a Doa Selamat was recited by Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar.
Present at the Royal Australian Air Force Base to bid farewell to His Majesty were representative of Governor-General of Australia Commander Chelsea Livingstone, representative of Administrator of the Northern Territory Craig Kitchen MVO and High Commissioner of Australia to Brunei Darussalam Luke Arnold.
Also present were High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Australia Garry Ramlee bin Ibrahim and personnel from the High Commission of Brunei Darussalam in Canberra.
His Majesty concluded the state visit in Darwin with a meeting with Administrator of the Northern Territory Professor Hugh Heggie and visits to the Royal Australian Air Force Base and Robertson Barracks, in which His Majesty had the opportunity to board the C-27J Spartan aircraft and a toll helicopter, as well as viewed the Eurocopter Tiger Helicopter, and a static display of military equipment and systems.
