His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam attended the royal audience with King of Thailand His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua and Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana at Ambara Villa, Dusit Palace, in Bangkok, Thailand yesterday.
The royal audience at Dusit Palace was also attended by Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin.
The royal audience, among other things, aimed to further enhance the long-standing relationship between Brunei Darussalam and Thailand as well as provided the opportunity for His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to meet with His Majesty and Her Majesty in strengthening the bond and kinship between the royal families of both countries. Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen.
Following the royal audience, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam left Bangkok after concluding the official visit to Thailand.
Prior to departure, Doa Selamat was recited by State Mufti Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned.
Present at Suvarnabhumi International Airport to bid farewell to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, as the Minister-in-Attendance Pirapan Salirathavibhaga; and Ambassador of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam Boosara Kanchanalai.
Also present were Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Thailand Pengiran Haji Sahari bin Pengiran Haji Salleh, and personnel from the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in Bangkok.
