His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, on Sunday attended the inauguration ceremony of the president and vice-president of Indonesia.
Upon arrival at the People’s Consultative Assembly/House of Representatives building, His Majesty was greeted by Minister of Defence and President-Elect of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto.
His Majesty, along with other state guests, then proceeded to the Plenary Session of the People’s Consultative Assembly for the inauguration ceremony of the president and vice-president of Indonesia.
His Majesty witnessed the oath taking ceremony of Prabowo Subianto as the eighth President of Indonesia, which was followed by the oath taking ceremony of Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the Vice-President.
The session continued with the signing of the inauguration minutes, and the inaugural speech by the president.
At the end of the inauguration ceremony, the President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto and the Vice-President of Indonesia Gibran Rakabuming Raka greeted His Majesty as well as other state guests.
