His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, arrived in Dubai, United Arab Emirates yesterday to attend the World Climate Action Summit on December 1-2 during the 28th Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 28).
Accompanying His Majesty is His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen.
On arrival at Al Maktoum International Airport, Dubai, His Majesty was welcomed by His Highness Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates.
Also present to greet His Majesty on arrival were Minister of Foreign Affairs II Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof and Ambassador of
Brunei Darussalam to the United Arab Emirates Haji Harun bin Haji Junid.
His Majesty will attend the World Climate Action Summit today, along with other heads of state and government. The summit will welcome world leaders to present the progress and ambitions across all pillars of the Paris Agreement, providing momentum and guidance for the remainder of the COP.
