The High Commission of Pakistan in Brunei Darussalam held a special Doa Selamat ceremony to mark the 40th National Day of Brunei Darussalam at its premise on Friday.
The ceremony was attended by Brunei-Pakistan Friendship Association (BPFA) members, a Ministry of Foreign Affairs representative, Pakistani military doctors serving on secondment in Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Pakistani professionals, community members, staff of the High Commission along with their families as well as Pakistani contingent members participating in the National Day parade yesterday. Special prayers were offered for peace, progress and prosperity of the Sultanate and health and happiness of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
The 40th National Day also coincides with the 40th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Brunei Darussalam. – Lyna Mohamad
