Zone 4 RPN Kampong Panchor Mengkubau Village Consultative Council (MPK) of Mukim Mentiri held a Santunan Kasih Berserumpun Pencinta Yatim project to provide assistance to 30 orphans on Friday.
The event at the Mufakat Peladang Hall in Kampong Tanah Jambu saw Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Lawi bin Haji Lamat, the guest of honour, presented donations in the form of school supplies to the orphans.
Initiated in February 2024, the project aims to foster a sense of community and care for orphans within the village.
The orphans will be invited to participate in various activities, including village tahlil ceremony, Ramadhan fast-breaking event and visits and cinema outing in the coming months.
The guest of honour also presented appointment letters to the MPK members for the 2024-2028 term. – James Kon
