As a Muslim convert without a stable job, I depend on zakat (alms) to make ends meet.
However, I have yet received the alms this year despite having submitted my application for it.
For days, I called the hotline but no one seems to be operating it.
Visiting the agency in person isn’t possible as I live in the Belait District and transportation is an issue at the moment.
I have asked around and it appears like I am not the only convert who is still waiting for the alms to come through.
I hope the authorities could look into the matter or at least point us the less fortunate converts in the right direction.
