As the year-end holidays begin marking the end of the 2022 school year, the Museums Department in collaboration with Sparks Co Sdn Bhd is organising the Fun at The Hub event at the Brunei Energy Hub Dermaga Diraja from December 1 to 18.

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad officially launched the event at the event yesterday.

Permanent secretaries at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) and Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, as well as deputy permanent secretary and directors at the MCYS were also present.

The event aims to encourage the general public to visit the recently opened Brunei Energy Hub Dermaga Diraja and to raise awareness and appreciate the history of Brunei Darussalam before and after the discovery of oil and gas.

Focussing on the theme, ‘Together Caring for the Family’ that highlights the role of family and spending quality time together, there will also be additional activities set up to cater to all age groups in support of the National Family Day.

Museums Department and the cultural sector within the MCYS, namely the Culture and Arts Division, Brunei History Centre and the Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) are also involved in the event. The event is open to the public from 2pm to 9pm every day except Mondays. The Brunei Energy Hub Dermaga Diraja will also operate from 9am until 8pm daily except for Fridays, where it will operate from 2pm.
