A Haflut Takharruj and Khatam Al-Quran ceremony was held at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Girls Arabic Religious Secondary School’s multipurpose Hall recently.
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim attended as the guest of honour.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah led by the guest of honour followed by the recitation of Doa and the reading of verses of Al-Quran by the Khatam participants.
The event proceeded with the presentation of the Best Overall Student award to Hajah Nurul Anishah Khairina binti Dr Haji Rozaiman followed by Best Student Awards and the presentation of certificates to the Khatam participants and graduates by the guest of honour.
The 354 graduates comprised Year 10 fast-track and Year 11 normal-track, one was awarded the Best Overall Student, 36 students awarded Best Student for the Brunei Religious Education Certificate (SPUB) examination and four in the BC GCE ‘O’ Level examination.
