Hars Elite will be looking to navigate past unbeaten MS PPDB in their upcoming match to realise their ambitions of securing the maiden Brunei Premier Futsal League (BPFL) 2024-2025 title.
The league leaders are in pole position having maintained an unbeaten record after six matches, topping the league table with a maximum of 18 points.
The team’s success in ending PES’ clean record with a 6-2 victory have brought the elite team of the BPFL chasing pack closer to the target of winning the inaugural championship.
However, the desire of Hars Elite to lift the BPFL title for the first time rests on their ability to overcome the prowess of MS PPDB who also come into the match undefeated.
Hars Elite General Manager Harith Irsyadi Harun said, “The current position situation gives Hars Elite the best opportunity, but our team needs to play more solidly in the last game to win and then lift the BPFL title for this first edition.”
He said that the encounter against the police personnel will be completely different and admitted that they have their own ability to achieve their goals.
He concluded, “What is certain, in this last match, the players are determined to display the quality of the futsal game of the highest quality.”
In the meantime, MS PPDB must do their part of bringing the title contest into the final day by earning victory against PES in their penultimate game of the season.
The undefeated team could see their chances for the title falter if they slip up against their opponents who will revive title hopes of their own with a win themselves.
The title race is still mathematically alive for Hars Elite, MS PPDB and PES which will depend on the results of their matches this weekend. – Fadhil Yunus
