During the Friday sermon, Imams emphasised the significant role of family leadership in Islam, stating that men bear the responsibility while parents play a crucial role in fostering success and harmony within the family unit.
According to Islamic teachings, husbands are tasked with providing essential provisions such as food, shelter, and clothing, while fathers are responsible for imparting academic and religious education to their children. Additionally, mothers play a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the household.
Drawing from the Al-Quran, Imams underscored numerous verses addressing conduct and manners within the family. These verses primarily focus on three key relationships: between spouses, between parents and children, and with relatives.
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) serves as the ultimate exemplar in cultivating a content and harmonious family life. His marital life exemplified a husband and father who actively participated in household management without prompting. He prioritised the welfare of his family, demonstrated affection for his children, and maintained strong ties with relatives.
