HANOI (ANN/VIETNAM NEWS) – Aiming to set a new record in Southeast Asia, a dazzling drone light show is poised to grace the shores of Ho Tay (West Lake) in Hanoi on February 9, ushering in the Year of the Dragon.
Organised by the People’s Committee of Tay Ho District, along with Petrovietnam and PVcomBank, the ‘Resplendent Thang Long’ show will feature an impressive fleet of 2,024 drones, illuminating the night sky with 11 mesmerising performances that narrate the rich history of Hanoi through a captivating fusion of light and music.
Taking place at the Van Cao T-junction beside West Lake at 11.30pm on February 9, coinciding with the final day of the preceding lunar year, the event will transition seamlessly into the Year of the Dragon with high-altitude fireworks launching from 12am to 12.15am on February 10.
Marking a milestone in aerial entertainment, this grand spectacle promises an unparalleled experience for both locals and visitors, boasting not only the largest drone fleet in Southeast Asia but also specially composed music and live broadcasting screens strategically positioned around West Lake.
Rising approximately 400 metres above the lake’s surface, the aerial performance is set to captivate audiences with its breathtaking display of light and sound.
