A 27-year-old local man suspected to be behind a daring armed robbery in broad daylight at a convenience store in Jalan Pasir Berakas, Kampong Lambak on Monday, was arrested on the same day, the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) said on Tuesday.
According to a police statement, the robbery occurred Monday afternoon, where the sales assistant of the convenience store, a foreign national, was threatened with a hammer by the suspect, who instructed the sales assistant to empty a cash register.
The suspect later fled with the loot in car that he parked outside the store.
The Brunei-Muara Police later on the same day apprehended the suspect, following an intensive investigation involving detectives and investigation officers. Several evidences were also found during the arrest.
