The Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) through its Dakwah Propagation Division organised the 67th Da’ie Guidance Talk (Halaqah) at the centre’s conference hall yesterday.
Dean of the Student Affairs Section at KUPU SB Dr Haji Mohammad Shahrol Azmi bin Haji Abdul Muluk was the facilitator.
PDI Acting Director Haji Ahmad Abdussalam bin Haji Abdul Rahman was present.
The event began with Sayyidul Istighfar and the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed with a presentation titled ‘Sembahyang Tiang Ugama’.
The halaqah discussed the importance of prayer as well as the approach and responsibility of parents to educate their children in performing prayers.
The event also saw a question-and-answer session. The halaqah was joined by 130 participants from various agencies.
Religious Directorate of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Ministry of Defence; Mosque Affairs Department; lecturers and assistant lecturers from Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA); dai’e from government departments and private sectors; accredited da’ie from the Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB); as well as officers and staff from the PDI participated. – Rokiah Mahmud
