Halal science students head to Japan for industrial training

Two Year 3 students from the Bachelor of Halal Science pre-graduate programme at the Halalan Thayyiban Research Centre, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) have departed the Sultanate for Osaka, Japan.

The students will be placed at Suita Campus, Osaka University, Japan, and will undergo industrial training for 75 days after receiving a scholarship based on At-Tamayyuz UNISSA scheme for high-performing students.

Director of Halalan Thayyiban Research Centre Pengiran Dr Hajah Norkhairiah binti Pengiran Haji Hashim bade the students farewell at the Brunei International Airport recently.

The training aims to expose the students to practical environments and interaction with other workers to improve their knowledge, confidence, and communication skills.

Students will also conduct practical research regarding halal aspects during the training.
