Haji Abu Bakar bin Burut secured 349 points, making him the champion in the male category of the first bowling tournament organised by the Brunei-Muara District Senior Citizens Activity Centre (PKWE) to celebrate the 41st National Day.
Deputy Director of Youth and Sports Haji Mohamad Rosfazilah bin Haji Yusly presented the prizes.
In second place was Haji Abdul Lamit @ Hamid bin Burut with 338 points and Haji Othman bin Haji Aliassan came third with 322 points.
In the female category, Hajah Azizah binti Haji Ahmad took the top spot with 331 points.
Hajah Massalam binti Raub also collected 331 points, placing her second and Hajah Salbiah binti Haji Mohd Salleh came third with 322 points.
Haji Abu Bakar and Hajah Azizah also won the male and female strikes categories.
In the male team category, team Perwira took first place with a total of 1,512 points, followed by Pahlawan in second with 1,472 points, and Wira Bangsa in third with 1,239 points. The female team category was won by Pertiwi with 1,418 points, Pahlawan Seroja came second with 1,392 points and Sri Kandi collected 1,272 points in third place.
