Guangxi Pingguo Haliao Guojing Football Team from Guangxi, China landed in Brunei Darussalam for a friendly match with DPMM FC yesterday.
The match will take place tomorrow at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.
Chargé d’Affaires and Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy in Brunei Darussalam Wang Haitao, chairperson of the friendly match Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman bin Pengiran Haji Damit, chairperson of the organising committee Lim Han Chiong and members of the organising committee welcomed the team at the Brunei International Airport.
The team’s sports supervisor Wang Xiao said it is an honour for Guangxi Pingguo Haliao Guojing Football Team to participate in the match on behalf of Guangxi. It will showcase the province’s spirit and the team’s skills as well as foster friendship with local players and stakeholders.
The visiting team features import players – Giovanny, Yacine Bammou and Hector Hevel – playing alongside Hu Rentian and Dong Yifan.
It is a collaboration between Brunei and China to advance cooperation in key areas including education, culture, sports, health and tourism to enhance the well-being and prosperity of the peoples of the two countries.
The match will see a lucky draw among ticketholders to win a grand prize of a Haval Jolion. Other prizes include five smart television sets as second prizes, three refrigerators as third prizes and two water purifiers as fourth prizes.
