Growing stray dog threat sparks safety concerns

We, the residents of Kampong Sungai Hanching are deeply concerned about the growing number of stray dogs in our neighbourhood, which has become a serious safety hazard.

Recently, a distressing incident occurred when a group of eight to 10 children were playing outside their homes. A stray dog suddenly turned aggressive, biting one child and chasing the rest.

The injured child suffered a painful puncture wound on his leg and had to be rushed to a doctor for immediate treatment and vaccinations. This incident has left parents fearful for their children’s safety, forcing us to keep them indoors. This is not an isolated case – stray dogs have become increasingly aggressive and their presence is an escalating concern.

We urgently call on the relevant authorities to take immediate action before another child or resident is harmed. The safety of our community must not be compromised.

We sincerely urge the authorities to intervene before the situation worsens. Immediate action is needed to protect the well-being of our neighbourhood.
