The Sengkarai Village Consultative Council, Persatuan Melayu Sengkarai and Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam Mosque organised a Pantaiku Ceria at Sengkarai Beach on Sunday morning, where officials and youth planted 80 saplings and cleared the beach of trash.
Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Abdul Aziz bin Haji Hamdan, who is also the Village Head of Kampong Sengkarai, said the event aimed to keep the beach clean while strengthening bonds between the villagers.
Acting Tutong District Officer Mohammad Sofian bin Haji Basri joined the event as the guest of honour. – James Kon
