Green packet recycling drive launched to reduce waste

Baiduri Bank launched its Raya packets recycling drive programme dubbed ‘Bisaitah Recycle’, an initiative aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and reducing waste during the festive season.

The drive is aligned with the bank’s environmental corporate social responsibility efforts, aimed at mitigating the environmental impact of the bank’s business activities by promoting zero waste, supporting green causes and businesses, and enhancing awareness of climate issues.

The public is encouraged to join in the green initiative by dropping off their used or old Raya packets into designated collection bins at selected Baiduri Bank branches during banking hours: at the main branch and Kampong Serusop branch in the Brunei-Muara District; Tutong branch and Kuala Belait branch until May 30.

“The recycling drive is not just about reducing waste; it’s about embodying our promise to minimise the damaging effects of our business on the environment. By encouraging the recycling of Raya packets, we aim to promote a zero-waste culture, support green initiatives, and elevate public consciousness about waste management.

“It’s a testament to our ongoing efforts to foster a sustainable future. We invite everyone to participate in this noble cause,” said Baiduri Bank chief executive officer Ti Eng Hui.
