Grass-cutter fined for illegal dumping

An individual was fined BND100 by the Belait District Office on Wednesday for disposing of rubbish in a public space following a grass-cutting activity.

The individual was given seven days to settle the fine, and failure to do so will result in the person being brought to court.

If found guilty, a fine between BND1,000 and BND3,000 will be imposed. For a second or subsequent offence, the person could face a fine between BND3,000 and BND9,000 or imprisonment of up to six months, or both. – Daniel Lim
