His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman attended a banquet held in conjunction with His Royal Highness’ 50th birthday celebration organised by the Ministry of Defence at the Indera Samudra Grand Hall, The Empire Brunei yesterday.
Accompanying Their Royal Highnesses were His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi’atul ‘Adawiyyah binti Pengiran Haji Bolkiah; and His Royal Highness 920 Major (U) Prince ‘Abdul Mateen and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Anisha Rosnah binti Adam.
Their Royal Highnesses were greeted on arrival by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof and spouse; and Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan and spouse.
Their Royal Highnesses joined a group photo session and met RBAF personnel deployed in peacekeeping missions to the Philippines and Lebanon recently.
His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah watched a video presentation and received a photo book before signing a royal parchment and joining the banquet.
The event was enlivened with a cake-cutting ceremony and presentation of a pesambah of a desk set.
Director of the RBAF Religious Directorate (JAMA’AT) Commander Haji Ainolnizam bin Haji Ibrahim recited Doa Kesyukuran to bless the event.
The banquet also saw performances and a video presentation of congratulatory messages.
Their Royal Highnesses consented to join a Junjung Ziarah with RBAF officials and staff before leaving the venue. – Adib Noor
