Graduate speaker reflects on sacrifices, perseverance

Maintaining a strong connection with Al-Quran and applying its teachings to daily life is vital, said Nur Mazrina binti Abdul Mahmod in her speech as the graduates’ representative during the 12th Haflut Takharruj ceremony of theInstitut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (ITQSHHB) at the International Convention Centre in Berakas yesterday.

She praised the continuous support of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in advancing Quranic education and acknowledged the contributions of the government, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the institute’s leadership and teachers.

Mazrina highlighted the perseverance and sacrifices made by the graduates and their families throughout their studies and reflected on personal challenges and the determination needed to achieve success.

Mazrina concluded her speech with a heartfelt prayer for continued guidance and blessings from Allah the Almighty, and a call for the graduates to uphold the values of Al-Quran and contribute positively to society.

The ITQSHHB continues to play a crucial role in Quranic education in Brunei, recognised for its high standards and positive impact on the community. – Fadley Faisal
