In the Friday sermon, Imams highlighted that one of the key ways to attain happiness in the Hereafter is by increasing amal jariah (ongoing charity or good deeds). These are deeds whose rewards continue to benefit the individual even after their passing, extending until the Day of Judgment.
Citing a Hadith narrated by Imam Ibnu Majah, the Imams explained that there are seven types of deeds classified as amal jariah. These include spreading beneficial knowledge, leaving behind pious children, distributing religious books, building mosques, constructing homes to accommodate travelers, creating rivers or wells for public benefit, and donating wealth for charitable causes.
The Imams encouraged the congregation to actively engage in these actions, reminding them that such good deeds are a lasting investment for the Hereafter. – AZLAN OTHMAN
