Good deeds for the community

Ambassador of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam Boosara Kanchanalai together with officers of the embassy and individuals from the Thai community in the Sultanate visited the Child Development Centre (CDC) yesterday through the initiative of the ‘Good Deeds from  the Heart’.

With the support from Samima Sdn Bhd, the ambassador presented contribution of toys and books to children at the centre.

The activity, organised by the Thai Embassy in Brunei Darussalam, is held in conjunction with the occasion of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s birthday anniversary, National Day of Thailand and Thailand’s Father’s Day that falls on December 5.

The initiative was started by His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun to set up the royal initiative volunteers in tribute to the late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Rama lX and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, for their contributions to the Thai nation.

It is hoped that it will encourage unity and happiness among the people and stability for the country.

The initiative has spread around the world providing an opportunity for Thai communities overseas to perform good deeds to the society and express gratitude to the country they live in.

Upon arrival, the ambassador was greeted by Acting Chief Executive Officer Special Grade of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital Abdol Hazis bin Haji Ahad and CDC Head Dr Hajah Mawarni binti Abdul Hamid.

The visit began with a tour of the playground and a mingling session with the children.
