The Pertiwi Association held an Khatam Al-Quran ceremony yesterday after the recitation of 30 Juzuk Al-Quran in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan.
The ceremony took place at Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damir Mosque in Kampong Manggis Madang.
Pertiwi President Datin Hajah Siti Hajar binti Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yusof said that apart from glorifying the month of Ramadhan, the ceremony hoped to foster ties between its members and all women’s associations under the Brunei Darussalam Women’s Council. – Rokiah Mahmud
