Over 150 families received Ramadhan care packages from Project #INFAQ1 over the past week.
The Pakej Ungkayah Ramadhan comprised household necessities to help underprivileged families with daily life and prepare for Ramadhan, said the organisers.
The packages were purchased by the public through Projek #INFAQ1 and distributed by volunteers from the Brunei Youth Council (BYC) and Green Brunei.
According to organisers, the project is an ongoing initiative supported by the BYC since 2021.
The public is invited to take part in its ‘Beli & Sedekahkan #INFAQ1’ initiative to provide daily iftar meals throughout Ramadhan for essential workers, construction workers, vendors at Muslim cemeteries, mosques and prayer hall congregations and drive-throughs.
