“It is important to care and treat the heart so that it is always healthy. This is possible by bringing oneself closer to Allah the Almighty, increasing Zikir recitation or remembering Allah the Almighty, praying, fasting, and reading Al-Quran,” said Prisons Department Assistant Counsellor Fariszal bin Ali during a religious talk, ‘Treat our Heart’, for the Munajat night on Saturday.
“It is our duty to also invite family members, friends and fellow Muslims to care for each other’s hearts. Do not let it hurt until it becomes severe,” he added.
Meanwhile, Acting Temburong District Officer Pengiran Muhammad Ameer Mubaarak bin Pengiran Haji Hashim led the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah from Utama Mohammad Salleh Mosque in Bangar, Temburong.
Also joining the weekly congregation were mosque officers at Utama Mohammad Salleh Mosque, Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Wakeel Mosque in Kampong Kiudang, and Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque in Kampong Katimahar, and committee members of Khatam Al-Quran programme of Wargamas Association and Permata Hijau Youth group in Temburong.
Congregations from 100 mosques, suraus and religious halls as well as officers and staff at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and their family also attended the talk.
Surah Yaasiin, Doa Munajat, Asmaa Ul-Husna and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam were recited at the gathering.
Munajat night invites congregants to multiply their daily religious practice by reciting Al-Quran, supplicate, recite Zikir and Istightar to seek forgiveness, protection and blessings from Allah the Almighty, supplicate for the people and the nation to be spared from calamities and dangerous diseases and to curb COVID-19.
