Syarikat Perniagaan Malar Setia together with the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) conducted a fire drill on Saturday.
It aimed at assessing the preparedness of Malar Setia’s fire marshals, first aiders and employees during an emergency as part of the organisation’s initiatives in promoting a safe work environment.
The drill’s scenario was a fire at the organisation’s premises. Firefighters arrived at the scene within five minutes and doused the fire after being alerted by Malar Setia’s Chief Fire Marshal Ummi Atiyah binti Haji Rahman.
The chief fire marshal also notified firefighters on the whereabouts of those trapped in the building.
Station Commander of Lambak Kanan Fire Station ASFR Yahya bin Haji Mohd Jali, Operation ‘C’ Branch Public Relations Officer SO Haji Kipla bin Haji Angas and Sales Director of Syarikat Perniagaan Malar Setia Eric Lim were involved in the drill.
Over 153 officers and staff of Malar Setia participated.
