The Persatuan Kebajikan Melayu Se-Malaysia (PKMS) held a Hari Raya open house at its president’s residence on Saturday.
The event began with welcoming remarks from the President, Haji Mohd Taufik bin Haji Abdul Rahim.
Malaysian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Dato’ Raja Reza bin Raja Zaib Shah and spouse Datin Roslina binti Haji Ismail were among the guests at the open house.
Guests enjoyed an array of festive dishes such as lemang negeri sembilan, rendang daging, kari daging, kari ayam, lontong and bubur chacha keladi while mingling with one another. – Lyna Mohamad

Takaful Brunei Darussalam Sdn Bhd (Takaful Brunei) and its subsidiaries, Takaful Brunei Am Sdn Bhd (TBA) and Takaful Brunei Keluarga Sdn Bhd (TBK), hosted the annual Takbir Syukur Aidilfitri event to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri at Tarindak D’Seni in the capital.
Over 600 guests, comprising members of the board of directors, the Syariah Advisory Body, senior government officers, corporate clients, business partners, and media representatives participated. Takaful Brunei’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Haji Shahrildin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Lela Utama Dato Paduka Haji Jaya as well as officers and staff welcomed guests to the event.

Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah
The Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (ITQSHHB) held a Hari Raya Aidilfitri gathering to enliven the month of Syawal and forging closer ties at its premise in Jalan Telanai.
This year, teachers and other members of the institute were divided into several themes – Nostalgia Raya, showcased by the Administration Division, the Centre for Al-Quran Studies and Dissemination MABIMS and the library; Middle East by the Al-Quran Studies Section; Asia by the Diploma Aliyah Qiraat, Arabic, Malay and English languages Sections; and western by the Dirasah Section.
The Al-Quran Studies Section was named the winner at the event. – Rokiah Mahmud
Islamic Da’wah Centre
The Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI), through the Dakwah Expansion Division (Special Dakwah) in collaboration with the Belait District Dakwah Unit, hosted a Ramah Mesra Aidilfitri ceremony at Kampong Kukop Longhouse in Mukim Sukang, Belait District on Sunday. Acting Director of PDI Haji Ahmad Abdussalam bin Haji Abd Rahman led the delegation. Legislative Council (LegCo) member Yang Berhormat Mohammad bin Abdullah @ Lim Swee Ann as Kampong Bukit Sawat village head, Head Religious Officer at the Belait District Religious Affairs Office Mohammad Aliyani bin Ismail and 100 residents of Mukim Sukang and Mukim Melilas longhouses also participated. The event aimed to forge closer ties among officers of the PDI with longhouse residents during festivities .

DST Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Radin Sufri bin Radin Basiuni welcomed the attendees along with the senior management team and other DST members.

Former officers of the Royal Customs and Excise Department organised a special Raya gathering on Friday to foster goodwill and camaraderie within the community.
The gathering took place at the residence of Haji Mohd bin Haji Omar on Jalan Jerudong.
Former controller Dato Seri Paduka Haji Eussoff Agaki bin Haji Ismail was among the attendees.
